The Public Employees Benefits Agency administers
several defined benefits plans on behalf of various
employers under The Public
Service Superannuation
Plan (PSSP). In 1977, with the inception of the
Public Employees Pension Plan (PEPP), these plans became closed to new members. As a result
of their closed status, these pension plans are
commonly referred to as the "old plans.”
PEBA Defined Benefit Plans also provides day-to-day pension administration service for the Power Corporation Superannuation Plan (PCSP).
In addition to being governed by their legislation, these plans are also governed by The Superannuation (Supplementary Provisions) Act.
