Extended Health Care Plan For Certain Other Employees
The Public Employees Extended Health Care Plan for Certain Other Employees was established on January 1, 1997.
The Extended Health Care Plan for Certain Other Employees provides protection
and security in meeting health care needs. The Plan provides coverage of certain medical services and supplies given or ordered by a physician not reimbursed from the provincial medical plan. It applies to only certain services and supplies
that are not
reimbursed or are partially reimbursed
from the provincial medical plan.
Employees eligible for coverage are Out-of-Scope employees of the Government
of Saskatchewan as defined under the Public Service Act.
Coverage for the member's
spouse and dependent
children begins on the same day the
member's coverage
becomes effective.
Examples of services and supplies
covered by the Extended Health Care Plan for
Certain Other Employees are in the
Extended Health Care Plan booklet.
The insurance carrier for the plan is
Group Medical Services (GMS). The Administrator
