1. What is my Public Employees Dental Plan/Group and ID number?

2. Where do I send my dental claims for processing?

3. How do I find out if my claims have been processed?


If you want to know if your claims have been processed you can call Great-West Life directly:

4. How do I know if my spouse and children are on the dental plan?


To find out of your spouse and children are on the dental plan, contact your Human Resources or Payroll Administration Branch.  The branches will be able to confirm your dependants; your type of coverage and the effective date of your coverage. 


5. What is covered by the dental plan?


All employees in the Plan are covered by the Core Dental Plan.  Some employers have chosen to expand dental coverage.  Reimbursement Schedules for employers (Core and Enhanced) are listed on the website.

6. If something is not covered (for example dental implants) but my schedule does have Major
    Restorative – can I use the money I would get from the bridge or crown coverage to pay for the
    implant?


No –there is no provision in the dental Plan for this type of alternative dental reimbursement.


7. Is there a maximum on benefits?


There is no annual or lifetime maximum on benefits except for Level 1 - Preventive Services and Orthodontics as indicated on the Reimbursement Schedules.

8. Are my children covered under the Plan?


Any child or step-child is covered under the Plan to age 21.  Children are also covered to age 26 if attending university or college full-time.


9. Am I covered for dental benefits when I retire?


Dental benefits coverage terminates upon retirement.
